Sorry, I don't know much more about it. The operators in the US want to block tethering unless you pay extra. The hack is from a nice contributor on the maemo.org forum. There's no guarantee that it works, but hopefully it works for most people. It works for me on AT&T.

Hi i'm trying to run ur script but some how its not working unless i'm doing something wrong, i'm t-mobile user too and my wi-fi hotspot not working.
i tried scripting in terminal
after devel-su it asked me passowrd which i entered "rootme"
it takes me to different promt, where i entered your script mentioned about and hit enter. after that it do nothign so am i missing anything, pls help me out thank u, my email is pri_p81@yahoo.com

Here is a solution that works for me. Print a document from a text editor. It doesn't even have to be a real document. Even a blank page will do. After it prints, I am able to print from Firefox again. I have no explanation why this works, but I think of it as priming the pump so to speak.

Nice review of using the workflow!

We had the same conversations regarding "done" when we moved to Jira. We decided to make a team process to handle that. If an issue is resolved, it is ready for testing, and if has been tested good it gets closed. Not very intuitive though I agree.

We did add a step in our workflow called "Waiting on Issue". It is only available if you have a link to a "depends on" issue or if you have a sub-task. If all the sub-tasks and linked issues that you are dependent are resolved then the issue automatically jumps from "Waiting on Issue" to "Open" and the assignee gets notified.

It it worked for me, anyone can do it! After re-starting Firefox, a minute or two may be required for the reset procedure to be finalized. I tested the browser and printer. All is well now, many thanks.

richard you are the man. thanks so much, after trying to find a solution, even after buying 2011 version nothing helped me get to my old files on my old computer. it was so old it couldn't handle the 2011 version. some way i deleted the 2006 from my computer, and did not have any info to put it back on. This neat little trick save my life, for real. thank you so much richard.

So, this is three years late, but should you still be using this machine, there has been a modded bios created specifically to fix this problem, which can be found at ThinkWiki.org. Search for "Problems with non-Thinkpad hard drives." Download and run the upgrade from the .zip file, and there should be no more error.
